Description
Charlie will be giving his 3rd benefit solo recital in the beautiful Channing Hall of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton (50 Cherry Hill Rd, Princeton, NJ 08540) on July 22 at 7 pm! This time Charlie will be raising funds for his own Rescue Music Foundation, whose mission is to help more young musicians give back to the community, just like Charlie’s always been trying to do.
Charlie’s Rescue Music Foundation seeks to raise funds through his own benefit concerts or direct donations, and then use the funds to host more benefit concerts in various communities, giving local young musicians the opportunity and means to give back to deserving nonprofits in their communities – each such benefit concert will have a designated nonprofit recipient(s) for all funds raised. Such concerts give kid musicians some strong motivations to work hard for, rather than “my parents wanted me to learn music” or “I don’t know why I have to learn music”. They’ll work harder & produce better music. More concerts also bring more music to more communities. All these actions are helping to “rescue” classical music, but also it’s music that rescues & helps the communities. In fact Charlie’s first “Rescue Music” concert, the designated recipient is the volunteer nonprofit Plainsboro Rescue Squad, where more than $2500 was raised for them by Charlie’s concert. So that’s the other meaning of “Rescue Music Foundation”. Contact us if you’re interested in helping, donating, suggesting nonprofits (as donation recipient of a Rescue Music Concert) or seeing such concerts come to your town!
We hope to see you there! Charlie will perform pieces by most or all of the following composers: Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Schubert, Chopin, Tchaikovsky etc. The majority comes from his International Piano Competition repertoire, mixed in with pieces from his “Live, Dream, Love” CD.
